The Pebble Beach Fire Deparment offers highly trained Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedic services as a component of our operations. A "paramedic ALS" refers to an EMS (Emergency Medical Services) provider who operates at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level. This means the paramedic has received specialized training beyond Basic Life Support (BLS)  and can perform a range of critical, invasive, and life-saving procedures, such as administering IV medications, performing advanced airway management, and providing cardiac monitoring with 12-lead EKGs. The goal of ALS is to stabilize critically ill or injured patients during transport to a hospital.
